1. Position Overview:
The Nanotechnology Center at VSB - Technical University of Ostrava is dedicated to the development of advanced materials and nanotechnologies for applications in energy, environmental protection, and biomedical science. Our center is home to a dynamic international team, including top scientists from Germany, Switzerland, China, and other countries. Researchers at the centre have published in leading journals such as Science, Nature Nanotechnology, Advanced Materials, PNAS, and Nature Communications.
We are currently recruiting several postdoctoral fellows in the areas of environmental science, materials science, nanotechnology, and biomedical research, with an emphasis on environmental pollutant prevention, and catalytic environmental medicine. 2. Supervising PI
Professor Ruibin Li is an internationally recognized expert in the field of enzyme-mimicking functional materials, who focuses on the design of biomimetic catalysts, mechanistic studies in catalytic biology, and the development of catalytic systems for biomedical applications. Professor Li has authored over 70 peer-reviewed papers in prestigious journals including Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, PNAS, et al. His work has been cited over 7,000 times on Google Scholar, with an h-index of 45.
The Li Group is currently focused on elucidating the structure - activity relationships between the physicochemical properties of nanozymes and their biological effects, with an emphasis on safety-oriented design and functional modification. Applications of his group’s research span pollutant remediation, antimicrobial resistance suppression, and catalytic medicine. 3. Qualifications: l Applicants should be under 35 years old. l Ph.D. in chemistry, materials science, environmental science, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline (awarded or expected soon). l Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. l Strong publication record, including at least one first-author paper in a Q1 journal. 4.
