Tuition fees at KTH

KTH has decided upon the following fees for the academic year 2011/2012:

• Programmes and courses within all subject areas except for Architecture: 145 000 SEK (Swedish kronor) per academic year (60 ECTS)
• Programmes and courses within the subject area Architecture: 245 000 SEK (Swedish kronor) per academic year (60 ECTS)

For shorter study periods, i.e. those not amounting to a full academic year,
pricing will be based on the amount of credits in accordance with the above stated prices.

The tuition fee will be charged in advance for each term (30 ECTS).

Requirements for students who have started a course or programme in Sweden before autumn 2011:

• If you are a registered student at a Swedish University or University college at the time you submit your application, you are not required to pay an application fee.
• If you started a course or programme before 1 July 2011, you may finish that course or programme without paying tuition fees. If you apply for and are given a place in a new course or programme that starts after 1 July 2011, you must pay a tuition fee for the new course or programme.
• If you are combining courses towards a degree (but are not officially registered in a programme), you may finish that course without paying tuition fee if you started it before 1 July 2011. If you start a new course or courses after 1 July 2011, you will be required to pay tuition fees for that course/ courses.
